A Word to The Lovely Lady... Are you one of the many glamorous women who find their plans revolving around whether or not their “crowning glory” is presentable to society? Wouldn’t it be marvelous to wear a very simple, “do-it-yourself’ hair-style when High Fashion is not necessary, but neatness is accepted, and in only a few minutes change in* to an ultra fashionable Coiffure? The answers to those questions and many more is that very necessary, a must to your summer ward-robe Hair-piece, Fall or Postiche besides the Wig you proba-

bly already own. So many women feel uncomfortable wearing an entire wig in the warm weather, but, haven’t recognized the need for a hair-piece they can easily learn to handle and put on themselves. If your hair is long or short, there is a hair-piece to suit your individual demands. No Inoger would you have to remain pool-side instead of enjoying the inviting, coolness of the water. Another thought you may consider is the protection a hair-piece can be for your hair in the sun’s rays. So many of us find the summer a time of destruction to our tresses. A blond, hair-piece does not yellow nor does a dark hairpiece streak in the sun such as our own hair!
The absolute feminine look of curls is *in* for the exciting, carefree summer activities and that little hair-piece may be the answer for too short hair in the crown area, or long hair too difficult to form into curls on top by yourself. Have you ever remarked to your friends that you can easily style some else’s hair, but, can’t do a thing to your own! Well, just anchor that Postiche to the arm of an over-stuffed chair or to your ironing board and style away!

A Fall can give you that long hair you so admire in a matter of minutes while you only have to cope with a short crop under your bathing cap! The long Martha Washington curls are “in” also, worn high on the crown delicately tumbling down to the nape. With a Fall, you can hide that to the neck-line tapered hair cut. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to partake in any of the last minute plans of this summer’s social whirl and not have to reconsider due to problem hair from the youngsters splashing at the pool? Let’s make arrangements for that extra “crowning glory” before the “funtime” begins this season and make the most of the enjoyment during the warm days to come .... Sincerely, Claudia Attention Housewives! Are You Concerned? Project concern needs your help and your trading stamps to build

Victory vs. defeat. Victory is not always commendable. And surely, defeat need not be disgraceful. In human experience, there are levels in both victory and defeat. For example, when we see a bewildered man defeated because he lacked the courage to win, we pity his pathetic picture. But, when we see a courageous man going down to defeat after trying his best to win, we glory him in defeat, and at times it is even a tragic defeat This is especially true if a principle of justice, integrity, fair play or personal honor is involved. None of us can win every time. How we lose is often more important than how we win. To succumb or be subdued because we lack the courage for the struggle to win is the only time disgrace can be linked to defeat. Yes, it is possible to win when one loses. . . .
