JAMES DEGAN James G. Degan, 53, Danville, Indiana died Saturday at his home. Services were held Tuesday at Farley Speedway Funeral Home, with burial in Lincoln Memory Gardens. Degan worked 30 years in the department of receiving and inspection at Allison and was superintendent when he died. A former resident of Speedway, he was a member of the Speedway Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star and Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine. He was past president and former secretary-treasurer of the Speedway Lions Club and a member of the Avon Christian Church and church board. He coached Little League baseball teams and was a cub-master three years for the Speedway Cub Scouts. Survivors include the widow, Frances; daughter, Rowena; son James E.

W. J. Fields has been named Office Manager of the Linde Division Speedway Laboratories. Mr, Field’s appointment was announced by T. J. McGuire, Laboratories’ Manager of Administration. As Office Manager, Mr. Fields is responsible for all accounting functions and government contract administration for the five technical research and development departments of the Linde Laboratories at Speedway. Mr. Fields, a native of Washington, Indiana, became associated with the Linde Division in 1962 and has been Accounting Leader since 1965. A graduate of Lockyear’s Business College and the College of Automation (Des Moines), he is currently completing requirements for his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Butler University.

MINNIE STALLWOOD Mrs. Minnie Stallwood, 84, 5123 W. 15th Street, died Tuesday, March 21 in St. Vincent’s Hospital. Services were held at Conkle Funeral home Friday, March 24 with burial in Floral Park Cemetery. Mrs. Stallwood and her late husband, George, were natives of England and came to the United States with their three children in 1921. They had lived in Speedway more than forty years. Survivors are daughter, Mrs. William Anderson and son Leslie Stallwood and five grandchildren.

cial Loan Department. His banking background included experience with Irwin Union Bank and Trust, Columbus, Indiana and the Peoples National Bank of Maryland.
James L. Shockley is a nativee of Danville where he now resides. He had been in the Installment Loan Department with First Bank for four years, and
is a graduate of Danville High School.
Michael J. Anthony joined First Bank in May 1962 and has served as assistant manager at Beech Grove and manager at Clermont prior to his present as-
signment as manager of the Bookkeeping Department.

Miss Linda E. Delph and Mr. Jerry A. Smith were married at 7:30 P.M. Thursday, March 23 in Indianapolis. A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William C. Delph, 6111 Hickorywood Drive and Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Smith of Vincennes, Indiana. The bride attended Indiana University and is employed by The Hartford Insurance Group. The groom attended the University of Cincinnati and is a student at Purdue University. He is employed by the Stewart-Warner Corporation. The couple will reside at 321 E. Troy, Indianapolis, Indiana.
GIRL SCOUT REORGANIZATION Girl Scout troops will be organized this Spring for our Fall program which begins in Sept. If your daughter wants to join the Girl Scouts at any age level in 1967 it will be necessary to enroll her this Spring. Your Ist grade daughter has received a “Message to Parents” form at her school. Bring this form to the meeting for Mothers on April 3rd. at 7:15 p.m. at Speedway Methodist Church. We are NOT choosing troop leadership at this meeting. If you would like to help with the troop, applications will be available. Spring Luncheon and Style Show The Indianapolis Country Club has been chosen for the Spring Luncheon and Style Show given by the West Group of the Women’s Committee of the Indiana State Symphony Society. This Membership luncheon will be Wednesday, April 26th at 12:30 preceded with a cocktail hour at 11:30 A.M. Davidson’s Fur Salon from Glendale will have their showing of spring collections. AFNB PROMOTIONS American Fletcher National Bank and Trust Company, Indianapolis, has announced the promotion of eleven staff members. The announcement was made by Frank E. McKinney, chairman of the board, and H. Prentice Browning, president, following a meeting of the board of directors. Benjamin Hitz, Jr. has been made a vice president and trust officer. Kenneth L.
