SKOAL FALENDER FLOOR SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION CONTRIBUTES TO MSE IN "ON LOF SALES
A special system of floor construction developed to eliminate shrinkage is helping to boost sales of Falender homes to buyers owning their own lots according to Walter Ewigleben, manager of the “On-Lot Division” of Falender Building Corporation. A cutaway section, showing basic Falender construction features which have contributed to a 40% sales increase this year, is on display at Falender’s Meadowood sales office, 6338 Thistle Drive. In addition to the use of 10** concrete beams and smaller floor joints to eliminate shrinkage, Falender construction also includes a vapor barrier to minimize moisture within the home. All 57 Falender custom designs and 20 floorplans available on buyers’ own lots in Marion County or adjacent counties also have additional construction features not usually found in their price range. Included are heavy gauge aluminum gutters and downspouts, long - warranty roofs, storm and screen doors, window screens, full insulation, easyreach utility connections and silent switches. Falender can stlil obtain an types of conventional loans. Purchasers already owning lots often qualify for loans without the need of a down payment. Normal construction time is 120 days. Although a large percentage of “on-lot” homes are built in Indianapolis and Marion County, many are also being constructed in other Indiana cities. Other places where this plan is proving most popular, according to Ewigleben, are Lafayette, Marion, Greenfield, Shelbyville, Bloomington, New Castle, Connersville, Kokomo, Noblesville, Plainfield and Columbus.
