Allison To Expond Allison Division of General Motors today announced a major expansion of its aircraft engine plant in the 2500 block of South Tibbs Avenue in May wood. The announcement came shortly after Allison was awarded a $227.3 million contract for development and production of a new turbofan engine for a USAF close support aircraft. James E. Knott, manager of Allison’s Indianapolis plants, said construction of 220,000 square feet of manufacturing space has started in two areas on Plant 5 property. One addition, containing 155,000 square feet, will adjoin the plant on the east side and is scheduled for completion in September, 1967. The other, containing 65,000 square feet, will be built near the northwest corner

The plant additions, both to bo built of structural steel framing and metal siding, will be used for the manufacture of components for the new engine, wfafob will enter production in 1968. Allison, which currently employs 15,300 in Indianapolis, will add more Jhan 1000 employes in 1968 to meet TF4I production requirements.
NEWV-P, JOB CHANGES AT SANI SERV The appointment of a new vice president-general manager and three job responsibility changes at Sani Serv have been announced by Frank P Thomas, preaident of the Indianapolis-based firm. John W. Holloway has been named vice president - general manager for Sani Serv. Originally from the Los Angeles area, Holloway has worked in management and sales with Gilette-Papermate and the Hollywood Accessories Division of Allen Electric, and in management consulting and market research with the Charles Company. Heading Holloway’s staff will be Robert Dinunich, advanced from vice president for Engineering to vice president-Manu-facturing; Arvil Stapp, advanced from national sales manager to director of Marketing and Sales; and David Jack, advanced from customer service manager to director of quality control and national service. “These management cnanges/* Thomas added, “are being made as a further move to consolidate and strengthen our Sani-Serv marketing, sales and manufacturing functions.”
