JOB CORPS PROGRAM Young men from all over the country are benefiting greatly from the Job Corps program, according to Paul O. Roales, Manager of the Youth Opportunity Center. The Youth Opportunity Center is that office of the Indiana State Employment Service in Indianapolis through which application to the Job Corps can be made. He urged all young men under 22, who are out of school and having difficulty finding suitable employment, to learn more about the advantages of Job Corps training by visiting the Youth Opportunity Center at 145 West Washington Street in downtown Indianapolis. Several inches of mulch around the base of newly planted trees will help prevent low temperature root damage, according to Purdue University extension horticulturists.

There will be no public school instructions during the Holiday vacation. They will be resumed on January 4th for the high school students and on January Bth for the grade school students. Remember to save all your Christmas wrappings and boxes for the next CYO Paper Sale, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, January 6, 7 and 8, please. St. Christopher wishes to welcome into the parish Mr. and Mrs. Herman Edward Greenwood of 1117 N. Lyndhurst. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman O. Greenwood. At Christmas time there are more requests for Masses to be said for deceased relatives and friends of the parishioners than there are Masses, so Father Lindemann in order not to disappoint anyone is having six Masses said this week (one every day) for the living and deceased members of St Christopher, their relatives and friends, and the benefactors of the Church. The first of these Masses was said at 6:15 on Monday morning by Father Richart The other five Masses are being said by Father Lindemann at 8 o’clock Tuesday through Friday and at 11:30 on Saturday mowing. Eleanor Hutter was remembered in the Mass at 8 o’clock on Monday morning at the request of Xavier Hutter. The Featherlin family asked that Bernard Patrick and Myra White be remembered at 6:15 on Tuesday morning. The 6:15 Mass on Wednesday morning was said for the special intention of John Gannon. This morning at 6:15 the Mass was said for Nettie Altheide at the request of the James Keating family. Henry Rosner will be remembered at 6:15 tomorrow morning at the request of the John and Marie Zetzel family. On Saturday morning Keith Leonard has asked that Paul Hoffark be remembered at 6:15.
