All the ladies of the parish are invited to the Alter Society Christmas party, Wednesday night, December 7th, a 6:30 p.m. in the school dining room. The pitch-in dinner will begin at 7:00 pan. Every lady is to bring a “Christmasy” wrapped seventy-five cent gift-exchange, canned goods (maybe coffee, Sanka, tea or jellies) for the Little Sisters of the Poor, as well as their favorite covered dish (either a salad, vegetable or dessert) and their own table service. St. Christopher grade teachers will be invited guests (but this is not a teach-parent meeting). A group of students from Woodward Academy of Music in Speedway will play many selections. St. Christopher grade school basketball team 67 defeated Holy Trinity at St. Rita last Saturday afternoon 32 to 20 in their first game of the season. Bill Myrvold is coach. They are scheduled to play St. Michael’s at Ritter next Saturday at 11:00 am. The 6:15 am. Mass on Monday morning was said for Walter Weir, Jr. and his family’s intentions at the request of the Jane Wheasler family. The Mass at 8 o’clock remembered Jeannette Feit, requested by her husband. Mary Elizabeth Gibbony was remembered at 6:15 on Tuesday morning at the request of the Charles Gibbony family. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kennedy asked that the 8 o’clock Mass be offered for Frank Shriner, Sr.

On Wednesday morning the early Mass was for Eileen Harrold at the request of Mrs. Michael Bauer and the 8 o’clock Mass for John Smith at the request of the Staff on Pediatrics at St Vincent Hospital. Friends asked that the early Mass this morning be said for John J. Reilly and the Keith Carter family that the 8 o’clock Mass be said for Josephine Russ. Joseph Beberdick will be remembered in the 6:15 Mass on Friday morning at the request of the Elizabeth Beberdick family. At B’clock, there will be a Mass of Thanksgiving at the request of Frank and Gertrude Joyce. On Saturday morning, the Feast of St Francis Xavier, the patron saint of the Missions, Mrs. Davis and Ross Dugar have requested the early Mass be said for Anthony Gorjanc. At 11:30. Cathedral High School will sponsor an Open House Sunday, December 4th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. for all eighth graders and their parents.
