which was awarded to UNICEF. Our coins and bills can help give assistance and long range programs of health and education to children in more than 100 underdeveloped countries. A penny will buy six glasses of milk. A nickel will mean enough penicillin to cure two children of the crippling tropical disease of yaws. A dime will provide medicine to save a young trachoma victim from blindness. A quarter will represent enough vaccine to protect twenty children from tuberculosis. A half dollar will buy enough DDT to protect seven children from malaria for a year. Three out of four children in the world live in the shadow of hunger and disease. Think of the money we spend for treats, masks, costumes, and cutouts for Halloween. Then think of the money donated to UNICEF at Halloween time. Is there any comparison between value received for the money?
