matoes, olives, chili, kraut or barbecue sauce, and a selection of six additional condiments. Some Franksville diners have been known to have loaded their frankburgers with enough “trimmings” to more than triple the size of the original burger. And speaking of “trimmings,” since hot dogs are traditionally enjoyed heaped with all different kinds of condiments, Franksville has a “help-yourself” relish bar where customers can have their fill of catsup, mustard, relish, onions, pickles and hot peppers. Some of the other hot dog varieties at Franksville sound like a meal by themselves—they serve franks with chili, with cheese, olives, kraut —they’ve got a foot-long hot dog and, if that wasn’t enough, they top this off with a “jumbo” hot dog. All their hot dogs are served in steaming hot, poppy-seed hot dog buns. All eleven varieties of hot dogs are available at the new Franksville restaurant at 5959 W. Cunningham Rd. in Speedway. It is managed by Jerry Peek.
