Proofs for the Pictorial Directory will be shown today from 2:00 pjn. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 pjn.; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p..m. next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please keep the appointment which you have received; or if you are unable to do so, let us know when you can come during these hours. (Please call the church office for any necessary change.) The 7th, Bth and 9th grade classes will meet PROMPTLY at 8:15 Saturday morning at the church for the beginning of their tour to Lutheran Hills Camp in Brown County. Don”t forget your rakes and weed cutters. Dr. James Keyser of the Synod Office will be in charge of the tour. HOLY COMMUNION will be celebrated at St. Andrew’s next Sunday morning at both worship services. Mr. Robert Meyer will be the lay assistant. The POST-HFs are continuing to meet at 9:00 aan. on Sunday mornings at Howard Johnson Restaurant for brunch and discussion, led by Richard Eschenbach. > August Council meeting will be held on MONDAY night, August 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Youth Building. Please note the change in date. Tuesday night at 8:30 the Speedway Alcoholics Anonymous will meet in the Youth Lounge.

PERSONALS High school artists from 29 counties in Indiana are attending the annual art workshop being held on the Ball State University campus. Dr. Alice Nichols, head of the Ball State Art Department, is workshop coordinator. Attending from Speedway are: Sharon Smith, 1718 Allison, and Marla McCormick, 5325 Maplewood Drive. Eighteen Marion County residents have been named counselors for the Indiana University YMCA and YWCA - sponsored Freshman Camp, Sept. 11-13. The camp program is designed to orient new students to academic and social life, as well as an introduction to campus traditions. Father Lindemann is saying the daily Mass at 11:30 a.m. There have been no early morning Communions, and the church has been locked. On Monday morning the Mass was said for Joseph Rosner at the request of friends. A wedding anniversary Mass was said on Tuesday for James and Helen Houck. Their sons, David and Mike, requested the Mass. The Masses on Wednesday and Thursday mornings were said in thanksgiving for all the Festival workers. Tomorrow morning at 11:30 the Mass will be for the parish. The 5:30 pan. will be for James and Helen Houck. St. Christopher Slo-Pitch Softball team defeated St. Gabriel Sunday, 13 to 9. They will play their final game Sunday at Riverside against Christ the King. > Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Frances Wiley, the housekeeper at St. Christopher rectory, who died at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Mike Quinn, 1207 N. Riley, Indianapolis, late Monday afternoon. Her funeral was from Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway, and at St. Christopher Church. Father Lindemann, Father Richart, and all the members of St. Christopher wish first of all to give thanks to God for a successful Festival, and to thank everyone who helped in any way to make their Festival a success. The cash awards Saturday night were made as follows: one thousand dollars to C. Pesel, Speedway (No. 2753); L P. Flesh, Speedway (No. 20481); L. Schwier, Plainfield (No. 25067); Steve Deig, Speedway (No. 89315); and Kenneth M. Toney, Speedway (No. 55981). The winners of St. Christopher tennis tourney last Wednesday at Riverside were: doubles, Chrissy Phillips and Teddy Popcheff; boys’ singles, Mark Renie; and girls’ singles, Chrissy Phillips. In the City-wide CYO tourney at Garfield Park Saturday Chrissy Phillips won in the open girls’ singles. On Sunday at Garfield Park, Chrissy and Katy Phillips were the runners-up in the open. The Novices played at Brookside, were defeated in the early rounds, girls, who played at Brookside, were defeated in the early rounds. Greg Martich and Dave Bender went into the semi-finals Sunday at Riverside. Dave Bender will play in the final game this Saturday after 12 noon at Riverside.
