The Parks will open officially on Monday, June 13. It will take some time to get everything sorted out but by about 10:00 we should be in full swing. We have a full schedule this year with tournaments in croquet, shuffleboard; chess & checkers and many others for our young people. So, watch the Flyer each week for coming events. In the following paragraphs we have tried to answer some of the more common questions concerning our Peanut League here at the parks. WHAT IS PEANUT LEAGUE? (1) Who Plays? Any Speedway boy age 6-7-8 and not a member of another organized league. (2) What Equipment will he need? A glove and a cap—no cleats of any kind will be allowed. We have colored T-shirts the boys may buy which are labelled with tiie name of his park (Leonard or Meadowood). (3) What are the rules? A game is four innings and each boy is given three strikes (There are a lot of third strike foul balls

Schedules telling time will be handed out after the teams are chosen. (5) Will everyone play? Every boy must play at least two innings in each game. The coaches of each team are young boys. They have been instructed on this. If you find your son is not getting to play, please call it to the attention of the directors. A coach may call one practice per week.
