ST. CHRISTOPHER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Richard Zeph, vice-president, will become president according to the rules of the society. The nominating committee have prepared the following slate: for vice-president, Richard Hahn and Albert Weinbeck; for secretary, Lawrence Reinhard and John Sterneman; for treasurer, Ronald Hay and Richard Philips. At the ten o’clock Mass Sunday, May 15th, members of the CYO will receive corporate Holy Communion. Communion breakfast will be served afterward, and elections will take place during breakfast. On Tuesday night of this week (but too late to make this column) there was held nominations at their weekly meeting. Another Men’s Slow-Pitch Soft Ball practice Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Meadowood. Last Sunday’s practice was postponed on account of Mother’s Day. Thursday, May 19th, is the Feast of the Ascension, a Holy Day. It will be a free day at St. Christopher grade school. Confessions will be heard on Wednesday, May 18th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and from 7:30 to 9:00 pjn. in preparation for the Feast Day. Masses on Thursday, May 19th, a Holy Day of Obliation, will be at 6:00, 7:30, and 9:00 a.m. and at 8:00 p.m. CYO Paper Sale—May 20, 21, and 22. At the offering of Father Peter Martich’s first Solemn Mass in St. Christopher Church at 1 o’clock Sunday, May Bth, Father Paul Richart, assistant pastor at St. Christopher, served as archpriest. Other ministers were Father Richard Terrill, former assistant pastor at St. Christopher, now pastor at St. Mary’s, French Lick, as deacon; and Father Stephen Hay, assistant pastor at Holy Trinity, New Albany, as subdeacon. Father Leo Lindemann, pastor at St. Christopher, delivered the homily. The chalice which Father Martich used was the gift from his grandmother. Father Martich has received his assignment. He will be assistant pastor of St. Pius X parish, Indianapolis, and high school instructor. At the dinner Sunday, Father Richart announced that Ben Tuttle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry O. Tuttle of 5356 West 10th street, another one of St. Christopher’s boys at St. Meinard, had been chosen by His Excellency the Archbishop, to study in Rome next year. Ben was an honor students at the Latin school for four years at St. Meinard for four years. He will graduate from St. Meinard May 19th. Ben will leave for Rome in September to study theology for four years.

On Monday morning at 8 o’clock, the Mass was said for Joseph Rosner at the request of Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Glock. The John Burkhard family asked that the Mass on Tuesday morning remember Jeannette Feit. The Mass on Wednesday morning was for Lawrence M. Glass. Herbert and Mary J. Glass requested the Mass. This morning the Mass was said for Elizabeth Glass, the wife of Lawrence Glass at the request of Herbert and Mary J. Glass. The Maurice Theising family are having a Mass said tomorrow morning for Mr. and Mrs. Henry Theising. Harry G. Hogan will be remembered in the Mass on Saturday morning at the request of Marge and Bob Potter.
