candidate for this position in the primary. “The Township Assessor deals directly with the personal and real estate taxes of every person in our community. It needs a person who will honestly and fairly examine each taxing problem of the individual with the utmost consideration. Our property tax bills are too high, even though other taxes have been levied upon us under the guise that these would be used to help reduce our property tax load. Although I can not personally correct this situation as assessor, I can see to it that the tax load is spread evenly and fairly among the people of our township. I do not feel that this has been done in the present or past administrations. “If nominated and elected I promise to work diligently thru the state-wide assessor’s organization to influence the Legislature to return to the people a fairer share of the tax collections in the sales tax field, at least. I shall insist that these be earmarked solely for the reduction of real property tax of the indi-
