No. 10: Recommends continued support of school attendance and child labor laws. No. 11: Recommends State assistance for the establishment of effective local public health and mental health services. No. 12: Recommends enforcement of present laws and support future legislation against sex offenders which would provide more effective treatment and rehabilitation of such offenders. SPEEDWAY METHODIST CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Services this Sunday. Rev. Charles M. Johnson will be speaking on “The God of the Living” in both the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services. The Immanuel Choir under the direction of Mrs. Don Schultheis will sing in our SUNRISE SERVICE which begins at 6:00 a.m. Easter morning. The combined choirs of Chancel and Crusader will sing “Alleluia” by Lapo in the 9:00 a.m. service and in the 11:00 a.m. service the Carol Choir directed by Mrs. John Clark will sing “Now the Day of Joy is Here” by Zaninelli and the Immanuel Choir will sing “He’s Risen, Christ Jesus, the Lord” by Pelz with trumpeter Bob Lindley. The Chancel Choir under the direction of Mr. Hal Meurer will snig in both services “Christ Triumphant” by Cain with trumpeters Mike Moore, Marty Moore, and Bob Lindley. Mrs. Robert Wise willl sing a solo in this anthem. The Offertory Solo will be sung by Mrs. John Clark entitled “Allelujah!” by Mozart. The Greeters for the 9:00 a.m. service will be Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Pierce and for the 11:00 a.m. service Mr. and Mrs. Claude Fletcher. There will be Baby Baptisms in each service. She-will be assisted by Gen Haines and Margaret Emmick. The Lesson “Care of Upholstry and Rugs” will be given by Lucille Melson and Genevieve North.
Our Project Chairman, Mary Shinkel and her committee have selected the “Juvenile Center” for our project. The club is giving undergarments, socks and tea shirts. Each member is asked to bring any used articles such as pajamas, pillow cases,, jewelry, etc. Lucille Davidson will speak about the center. Also don’t forget that we are giving Mrs. Frank Eddy, 1743 N. Lyndhurst, material for doll dresses. She can also use dolls.
