NEW CHURCH ON HIGH SCHOOL ROAD The Church of Christ has just completed a new church building at 3103 North High School Road. W. E. Byfield of Indianapolis drew the plans, and supervised the construction? The building cost $93,500. Ths cost of financing the project was underwritten by the Church of Christ on Emerson Avenue at 40th Street. The building will seat 350 people and has 12 classrooms. Loren N. Raines, who served as minister of the Emerson Avenue congregation for the past 8 years, will be the minister of the new congregation. Evangelist Cecil Sawyer of Louisville, Kentucky will begin a series of Gospel meetings April 10, continuing through April 17. Services each evening at 7:30, Sunday evennig at 6:00. Services are now held regularly as follows: Bible Study 9:45 A.M. Morning Worship ....10:45 A.M.

as usual. There will be a St. Christopher Social on Friday night this week, beginning at\7:oo pun. The Social is for adult men and women. Members of the Altar Society will receive corporate Holy Communion at the 10 o’clock Mass Sunday, April 3d. Classes at S.t Christopher grade school will end at the dose of school on Wednesday, April 6th, for Easter Recess. They will be resumed on Wednesday morning, April 13th. Spring registration will be held on Tuesday, April 12th. St. Christopher CYO serious play, “The Day After Forever” won in the semi-finals at St. Andrews in Richmond Sunday. The finals will be held at Chartrand High School Saturday night, April 2d, at 7:30 pun. They tell us that this is a play well worth seeing, and that Elaine Renie really brings one to tears. She is supported by Patty Bell, Sue Elliott, Nancy Knapp, and John Tellman. Jeannette White furnishes the mood music and Kathy Dean is the prompter and assistant. Mesdames Sue Rosner and Barbara Graves are the directors.

Other seniors at St. Mary Academy from St. Christopher, who have been accepted at other colleges are Nancy O’Neal, Purdue; Maragret Pella, Indiana State, and Donna Hermann, Tobe-Corburn School for Fashion Careers,, Unlimited. The Mass at eight o’clock Monday morning was said for Joseph Rosner at the request of Morris and Helen Grambrail and family. Mrs. Julia Mazar Oslos asked that the Mass on Tuesday morning be said for Steve Mazar. Mary J. Hermann was remembered in the Mass on Wednesday morning. The Hermann family requested the Mass. —. The sixth grade pupils of St Christopher school asked that the Mass this morning be said for Anne Gillum. The Mass tomororw will be for Chester Kasnak at the request of Pat Dugan. The Mass on Saturday mroning will be for Joe Hoffmann at the request of the Maurice Theising family. The St. Gerrard Discussion Group met with Betty Esamann on Tuesday night.
