The Crusader Choir under the direction of Mrs. Robert Wise will sing in the first service “There is a Green Hill Far Away” adapted by Alexandra, and the Chancel Choir, under the direction of Mr, Hal Meurer, will sing in the second service. The third session of the Adult Membership Class will Start at 10:15 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. This Sunday, March 27 starts our T .ENTEN PREACHING MISSION and will continue each evening at 7:30 p.m. through April 1. Dr. George Fallon will be our Guest Minister, and Mr. Harold Coates will be the Song Leader. There will be church choir music each evening, co-ordinated by our Director of Music, Mr. Hal Meurer. The Church Nursery will be available for each service. The public is cordially invited. The Education Commission meets tonight, March 24, in the home of Mrs. Homer Marsh, 5705 West 25th Street at 7:00 p.m. We will have our final two nights of Visitation tonight and tomorrow night, March 24 and 25, from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m. This is in preparation for the Lenten Service which begins this Sunday, March 27. The Men’s Sub-Division Lenten Breakfast will be held at Mt Olive Methodist Church, 1449 S. High School Road, Saturday, March 26, beginning at 7:00 am. The 6th Grade Membership Class will meet in Room 113 at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, March 27 and the 7th Grade Membership Class meets in Room 124 at 10:00 a.m., also on Saturday morning. ATTENTION all Junior and Senior High M.YJ’.ers, all reservations for the RENEWAL PITCH-IN DINNER should be in by today (March 24) to Margie Vehling at 244-4560. We will meet in Fellowship Hall from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Sunday night, March 27 for the pitch-in dinner. Rev. George Fallon will be our speaker on the subject of “High School Morality.” The Wesleyan Bible Class will have their monthly pitch-in dinner starting at 6:30 pm. at the church Monday, March 28. The Bible Study and Prayer Group will meet at 9:30 am. in the church parlor Tuesday, March 29. All Senior Highs will have “Morning Moments” at 7:00 am. in the home of Rev. Don Krieger, Wednesday, March 30. REMINDER!!! The Missions Commission urges all members and friends to give generously in their Lenten Boxes. These boxes will be collected on Easter Sunday and all gifts will go toward the support of our missionary family, Rev. and Mrs. Gay Johnson in India. Your gift is important!! School News (Continued from Page 1) April 13, P.TJL Meeting in High School Auditorium, 3:00 pm. Spring Vacation is scheduled for the week of April 4, the week preceding Easter. School will be dismissed at the end of the day on Friday, April 1. Classes will resume Monday morning, April 11. Four Speedway elementary pupils were awarded blue ribbons for their crayon drawings entered in the Children’s Art Bazaar recently. Speedway winners were Beth Bain, Debbie Foster, Joseph Owen, and Lori Sauer. I Speedway speech team won third place trophy <t the speech regional held at Terre Haute Wiley last Saturday. Six Speedway students qualified to compete in the State Finals to be held at Ben Davis on March 26th. Joyce DeWitt and Cindy Rumple will enter competition .in Dramatic Interp; Ronnie Stewart will enter Humorous Interp; Becky Dunnuck, Girls’ Extemp.; Dave Schnable and Earl Woodard, Radio Announcing. Jim Seitz received alternate spot in Radio.
