CANADIAN SKETCHES (Continued from Page 1) he has been in the electrical contracting business for several years. Many years ago he embarked on the hobby of photography and his first slides were enjoyed by friends aind neighbors. Many of his slides won national contests and received acclaim from all who saw them. The encouragement of friends and experts prompted him to produce a finished slide program. The first one he produced used one screen and one projector. Later, he used two screens and two projectors. Now, he has developed a revolutionary and unique presentation in which he uses three screens and four projectors. He also incorporates hi-fidelity sterephonic equipment and music and sound effects recorded on-the-spot. He carries his own equipment which takes a considerable amount of time to set up in each auditorium. His program has sometimes been referred to as a “movie-slide presentation.” He has presented this unusual program in some of the largest auditoriums in the country. Recently, the travel officials of the country of Holland commissioned him to produce a similar travelogue on Isie Netherland, underwriting all his expenses—an unprecedented arrangement in the travelogue field. Some have remarked, “On a par with Cinerama.” The wide-screen journey begins on the Cabot Trail Drive around Cape .Breton Island. Along the way are picturesque fishing villages and harbors. French people create a temptation to buy more than we can afford. In the capitol city of Quebec, amid the French speaking people and traditional architecture, the changing of the guard is a colorful event that will always linger in our minds. Riding in a horse drawn carriage to the glistening harbor at night is a sight to behold. The thundering beauty of Niagara Falls is seen in sparkling sunlight and in the night with lights dissolving into all colors of the rainbow. Now through the vast prairie provinces with miles and miles of golden wheat to the ever-popular Rockies. For a new experience we’ll ride in snowmobolies over the living glacier of the Columbia Ice Fields. Lake Louise is as beautiful as it is popular among world travelers. Waterton Peace Park is evidence of the goodwill that exists between Canada and the United States. Off the western shore of Canada is Vancouver Island and the quaint city of Victoria with its beautiful harbors and sparkling parliament building in the dark of the night. The many flowers in Butcharts Gardens send their brilliant colors in all directions as our dramatic journey across a wonderful land with friendly people comes to a fitting climax.
