ST. CHRISTOPHER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) am., 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 pm. Communions may also be received daily before the 6:15 am. Mass, every fifteen minutes between the morning Masses, and at 11:45 am. Many men and women, as well as school children, are privately making the Stations during the day. Today confessions are being heard from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. and from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. in preparation for First Friday,- tomorrow. The same schedule for Masses and Holy Communions will be followed tomorrow, First Friday, as for any week day during Lent, with the exception of another opportunity to receive Holy Communion at 8:00 pm. The men of St. Christopher have been assigned the hour from 10:00 to 11:00 p.m., Friday, March 4th, for Nocturnal Adoration, at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, 14th and Meridian, Indianapolis. The regular weekly Social at St. Christopher tomorrow night, March 4th, beginning at 7:00 pm. will be in the school social room. This week is Ember Week. Usually Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday are days of fasting, and Wednesday and Saturday partial abstinence. But with the new regulations, no fasting need be observed and Friday is the only day of abstinence. However, anyone who wishes to do extra penance may keep these days as usual It is recommended some form of penance be made. Father Lindemann and Father Richart stress the best kind of penance is the attendance at daily Mass and the receiving of daily Communion. Members of the Altar Society will receive corporate Holy Communion at the 10 o’clock Mass Sunday morning, March 6th. The first of four special Lenten collections will be made Sunday at all the Masses. This collection will be for the Indian and Negro Missions in the United States. Remember the regular monthly C.Y.O. Paper Sale this weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 4, 5 and 6. Crates will be on W. 15th Street in rear of school. This is not just a Catholic Sale. The boys and girls would be grateful to anyone who can bring papers down. No magazines, please. On Sunday, March 13th, the daughter of the Holy Name members will receive corporate Holy Communion with their fathers at the 8 o’clock Mass. A varied program for all ages, which will follow the breakfast in the school dining room after the Mass, is being planned by Joe Gibson, president, and his committees. Mr. Gibson is askirig that each member send in his daughter’s or daughters’ reservations early. They have been named Kent Arthur and Kurt Arthur. Benjamin Tuttle of St. Christopher was among the 55 named to the Dean’s List at the St. Meinard Seminardy College of Liberal Arts there.
