Speedway defeated Darlington 62-52 in the first game of the Zionsville Sectional Basketball Tourney held last week. The Sparkplugs went on to win over Brebeuf 68-48 in the Saturday afternoon semi-final game, but then lost a hard-fought contest with the Lebanon Tigers for the championship. The final score was Lebanon 63, Speedway 61. The Speedway girls’ swim team won a duel meet with Southport by a 59-36 score.
