"Bible Telecourse" Begins Second Semester The second semester in the current “Bible Telecourse” study, “Christ and the Meaning of Life,” will begin Saturday, Feb. 12 on WFBM-TV at 12 noon. “Bible Telecourse” is in its fifth season over Channel 6 and is instructed by Dr. Edward W. Bauman, professor of theological and Christian ethics at Wesley Tehological Seminary. There will be no “Bible Telecourse” programs on March 12 and March 19, when WFBM-TV will cover the IHSAA basketball tournament.

Heritage Christian School Receives Endowment The Lilly Endowment, Inc. has awarded Heritage Christian Schools, Inc. a $30,000 grant for the purchase of 8 1966 compact, Chevrolet buses. The buses have already been put into service. 234 pupils are picked up and delivered from Zionsville, Oaklandon, downtown Indianapolis and Carmeh Heritage is a new school that ■opened last September for its first year’s operation in Indianapolis. It is located at E. 64th St., Road 37. The school has classes for pre-kindergarten, intermediate kindergarten, and kindergarten, also grades 1-9. Plans are for the school to offer classes through the 12th grade this September.

PEACE CORPS SPEAKER AT MARIAN Joseph Chapon, a returned volunteer from Indonesia and Thailand, will represent the Peaec Corps on February 14 in a visit to Marion College. Chapon will speak to several classes and meet with students all-day in an information program which is a prelude to a nationwide Placement Test to be given on February 17 at the college. Marion is in the top fourth of the nation for providing graduates to the Corps, being represented by 17 members in the Corps. From January 1964 to May 1965, Chapon helped organize scores of physical education programs in Kupang, Indonesia. In May 1965, when the Peace Corps was temporarily withdrawn from Indonesia, he was reassigned to a Thailand Community Development project. After his tour of duty, Chapon traveled for ten weeks through Southeast Asia, stopping in Siagon, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. The placement test is to be given at 8:30 aan. on February 17 in the Marion Administration Building, 3200 Cold Spring Road, Indianapolis.

TOASTMASTERS CLUB The Toastmasters Clubs in Area No. 2 of Toastmasters International are holding speech contests at individual club level to find the best and most improved speaker in their club. The eight clubs making up Area No. 2 will then select the best speaker of the group in a speech contest held in mid-March. There are 35 individual Toastmaster Clubs in the Indianapolis area and in a final speech contest, the best speaker of the 35 clubs will be chosen to compete against other Toastmaster organizations in the state. Toastmaster Clubs throughout the world are self managed organizations dedicated to the improvement of the individual member in the art of communication, through better speaking, better thinking and better listening. Tostmasters come from all areas of our society and anyone interested in self improvement is urged to join a convenient Toastmasters Club.

Oliver B. Ransopher, clergyman, lecturer, author and colleettor, will give a unique presentation of the life story of our immortal 16th president Intimate touches include an account of his visit with Robert Todd Lincoln in Washington, and his long acquaintance with the son of the couple who accompanied Presdent and Mrs. Lincoln to the Ford Theatre on April 14, 1865. This is a refreshing arid new presentation which brings to life the true greatness of Lincoln. Ransopher is highly acclaimed for his Lincoln talks, and his enthusiasm for his subject is contagious. Boys and girls will follow along with Ransopher as he leads them through the facinating highlights of Lincoln’s life. This special Lincoln’s birthday program will begin at 11 o’clock in the assembly hall of the museum, 3010 N. Meridian. It is designed for children nine years and older.
