Symphony Gift Campaign Henry Deßoest, chairman of the 1965 Symphony Fund Campaign, has announced that although gifts are still being accepted and it is hoped these will total the $225,000 goal before the end of year, the major fund raising efffort has now been completed. “I am most grateful that the citizens of our community have responded so admirably,” states Mr. Deßoest. "We haven’t quite reached our goal but our total operating deficit for the year was not as great as first anticipated due to the increased earnings of our Orchestra. Any gifts received from here on in will help meet the increasing costs of operation next year.”
