will include music ranging from compositions by Palestrina, Bach, and Haydn to sacred folk-music, the local choir members will be guests of honor at a dinner with the CYF of the host church and the youth choir and youth fellowship of a neighboring Presbyterian church. The 8 sopranos, 8 altos, 5 tenors, and 5 basses in the touring choir are members of the larger Motet Choir, which in addition to singing regularly in the Speedway Church, combines with the Chancel Choir to sing major choral works in the Speedway Christian Church’s Fine Arts series. Other appearances of this choir away from their home church have been in Lafayette and Martinsville and at the Christian Church State Convention in Clowes Hall. Accompanying the choir on this trip will be Rev. Foster Hotchkiss, their director; Mrs. Hotchkiss; Mrs. C. R. Elson, chairman of the music committee; and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bishop.

The Men’s Fellowship Dinner, scheduled for Monday, March 29th at 6:30 p.m. will have Mr. Robert Kryter as speaker. Young people may still come and be included. We are asking our members to make pre-registrations to the State Convention which will be held in Marion, from April 29 to May 2nd. The fees are $2.00 for adults and SI.OO for youth, if made before April 21st, and registrations may be made in the church office. Fine programs are being planned for this 126th State Convention and it is hoped that Speedway Christian will have a good representation.
