ST. CHRISTOPHER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Members of the Junior C.Y.0., Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Brownies will receive corporate Holy Communion at the 10 o’clock Mass Sunday. Doughnuts and drinks will be served in the school dining room after the Mass. Sunday evening, members of the CYO will visit Chapel Hill Methodist Church for a tour and social. They will leave St. Christopher about 6 p.m. Adults are invited to join them. Mrs. Catherine Renard entered the Intensive Care at St. Vincent Hospital last Thursday with a very bad heart condition. Mr. Renard told us Monday that she was able to be moved to Room 151, but still was under oxygen and not able to feed herself. Mr. Chester Moore, the father of Mrs. Leona Webster, is at the Methodist hospital, and will no doubt have been to surgery by the time this column is read. He is a member of St. Anthony parish. Your prayers are requested for Mrs. Renard, Mr. Moore and the sick in our parish. At 11:15 Monday, a Mass was recited for Edward Hollinden at the request of his widow, Elizabeth Hollinden. Mary Melvin was remembered in the Mass Tuesday morning. Her husband, Thomas Melvin, had requested the Mass, before his sudden death time ago. The Kaltenbach family requested a High Mass for George Sauer on Wednesday morning. The High Mass this morning was sung for the living and deceased members of St. Christopher parish. Tomorrow morning, the recited Mass will be for Lawrence Schmidt at the request of the Ave Marie Discussion Group. AT eight o’clock on Saturday morning, the Mass will be for Margaret Brooks. Her husband and daughter have requested the Mass. Father Charles J. Lees, SM. Ph.D., professor of English at Dayton University, will conduct the Retreat at Fatima, February 26, 27, and 28. The ladies of St. Christopher still have time to make their reservations with Frances Buchanan, 1610 Cord Street. The Redemptorist Fathers wish to call attention to the fact that it is now time to renew subscriptions to their magazine, The Liguorian. The CYO Board and Moderator extend their thanks to the past basketball coaching staff ... the Cadets, Fred Fath and Dick Rosner; the “67”5, George Schlake and Don Nester; the FreshmenSophomore team, Joe Morrison and Fred Miller; and, the JuniorSenior team, Phil Long and Bill West. Pray your Rosary daily for peace in the world. —Nora Bray
