CINCINNATI WINS WESTWOOD STH INVITATIONAL The sth Annual Age-Group Invitational Swim Meet came to a dose Sunday evening, December 6, with ninrinnati Marlins winning the overall team trophy with 530% points. Runner up overall went to Plantation of Louisville, Ky. with 368% and Riviera placing third with 328. High Boy*s Team Trophy went to Cincinnati also with 247% points, Plantation second with 204; High Girl’s Trophy went to Riviera with 286 with Cincinnati placing second with 283. Some of the high individuals in various age groups were: GIRLS 8 and Under Girls—Patty Franz, Jordan Y with 3 firsts; 9-10, Vicki Reibeling, unattached, with 4; 11 and 12, Valerie Halpin, Cincinnati with 5; 13-14, Pam Whaley, Riviera and Pat Bergman of Kokomo, each having 3; and 15 and Over, Maddie Ellis, Riviera with 5 first places. BOYS 8 and Under, John Fefferman, South Bend Marlins, 2 firsts; 910, Charles Beam of WrightPatterson Air Force Base in Dayton, 4 wins; 11-12, Arpad Batizy of the Nashville, Tenn. Sim & Swim Club taking 5 firsts; 13-14, Paul Klotzbier of Westwood, 3; and 15 and Over, F. Hartye of Plantation, also with 3. This met had 1,032 individual entries with a total of 4,193 events. Entrants came from 8 states and 25 cities with 35 different clubs being represented.

Dec. 23: School dismissed at noon for Christmas Vacation. Dec. 23: Basketball, North Central, there, 6:30 and 8:00. Jan. 4: Return to school after Christmas Vacation.

School will be dismissed at noon on Wednesday, December 23, for Christmas Vacation and pupils will return to school, Monday, January 4. Speedway placed sixth in a speech tourney held at Ben Davis last Saturday. Dave Schnable won first place in radio division. The Speedway speech group, under the direction of Mr. Don Johnson, will host an invitational speech tourney at Speedway on December 12. A total of 695 student representing 29 Indiana high schools are registered to participate. Last Saturday morning the College Board Scholastic Aptitude tests were administered at Speedway High School to 146 seniors from Speedway and surrounding schools. In the afternoon, 11 seniors took the Scholastic Achievement tests. Mr. Floyd Troth was in charge with several high school teachers assisting.
