ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) This Sunday evening the Senior Luther League will have a Toy Patch Party at the church in the Youth Building from 6-8 pan. Broken toys will be mended for distribution to children at Christmas. The regular schedule for services and church school continues this Sunday. Mrs. Gene Bauer, student from Hamma Divinity School, will conduct the services. Weekday Religious Education classes are held on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Scout Troop No. 89 meets in the Youth Building that eve-. ning at 7 p.m., and Senior Choir rehearses at 7:45 pan. on Wednesdays. The Education Committee will meet on Thursday, December 3, 7:30 pan. St. Andrew’s Lutheran Nursery School is held each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-11 aan. ST. CHRISTOPHER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Day, will be sung for Margaret Brooks at the request of her daughter, Kathy Brooks, and husband, Mr. Brooks. The living and deceased members of St. Christopher will be remembered in the Mass on Friday morning. Saturday’s Mass will be for Irma Barghager. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Malik have asked that the Mass be said for Irma. An Anniversary High Mass was sung at 11:15 on Monday morning for Herman Medenwald at the request of his widow, Letha Medenwald. Frances Karnnan asked that the Mass on Tuesday morning remember Eleanor Wagnor. The Mass this morning was said for the living and deceased members of St. Christopher parish. Father Lindemann offered up the 11:30 Mass Sunday morning for John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The Faithful of the Archdiocese are dispensed from the law of abstinence on Friday, November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving. The regular weekly Friday night Social at St Christopher will be held as usual this week from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the school social room. The C.Y.O. have volunteered to take care of the Catholic Bishops’ Thanksgiving Clothing Collection project this year. The drive begins Friday, November 27th, after Thanksgiving and runs through Friday, December 4th, and no articles can be accepted after this date. Everyone who can should bring their articles to the Church basement where tables will be provided for the placement of same. If there are folks who have articles to give, but are unable to bring them down to the church, they are to please call, Mrs. Chas. Stevens, Jr., CH. 4-5291, and an effort will be made to pick them up. Non-Catholics are especially invited to participate in this project, as this clothing is distributed to the needy overseas regardless of their religious faith. The Collection Agency want clothing for men, particularly men’s pants, work shoes, and warm jackets . . . blankets, comforts, and warm bedding ... dresses, coats and walking shoes for women and children, especially infants’ wear. They are asking for bolt goods,

Father Lindemann would like for any new families in the parish who have not registered to do so as soon as possible, as he is getting the parish 1965 file in order now. William Aust, David Bender, and Richard Wagner, students of Brebeauf Preparatory School, as a part of their duties as members of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin, have been assigned to tutor sth, 6th, 7th, and Bth grade children having difficulties with their studies. These boys are willing to give up their Saturday mornings from 10:30 to 12:00 for this work, and will come to the home of the child and give a 40 minute instruction in Religion, Reading, English, History, or Geography. Parents should contact one of the boys, Father Richart, or Father Lindemann. They do not feel that they are qualified as yet to help teach the new Mathematics. On Wednesday night, December 2d., members of the Altar Society will hold their Annual Pitch-in-Dinner Christmas party beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the school social room. Each member has been asked to bring a covered vegetable dish or a dessert, a 50c gift exchange, and their own table service. Chairmen for the party are Helen Bandy, Judy Dezelan, Mel Hale and Virginia Pate. Southside Senior C.Y.O. is sponsoring a dance on Saturday, November 28th, at Chartrand High School and from 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. for all young single persons out of high school On Sunday night, November 29th, Our Lady of Greenwood Junior CYOers will hold a city dance.
