Children, high school boys and girls, and adults will take their turns to come to church and spend an hour or more in prayer all during the day and early evening. Short- services in the evening will be held at 8:00 pjn. The same procedure will be followed on Saturday and Sunday, with the solemn closing at 8:00 pan. Sunday. The children of the second grade, last year’s First Communications, will lead the procession at the closing. Several visiting priests are expected for the closing. Tomorrow and Saturday are fast days for those over 21 years of age and Saturday is a day of partial abstinence. Friday, of course, is a day of complete abstinence. Tomorrow night in the school social room, St. Christopher’s weekly Social Party will be held from 7'oo pan. until 11:00 pan.

The 38th annual public novena in honor of St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus will begin at Little Flower Church, Indianapolis, tomorrow. Services will be held daily at 2:30 pan. and 8:00 pan. The novena closes on October 3d, the feast of the Little Flower. The Fatima Retreat League Will hold a Communion Breakfast for members and guests on Sunday, September 27th, in the Severin Hotel at 10:15 aan., following a 9 o’clock Mass at St John’s. Adult Confirmation is scheduled to be held at SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Indianapolis, at 3:00 pan. Sunday, December 13th. This early announcement gives those who wish to be confirmed ample time to make arrangements with their pastors. The nuns at St Vincent’s Hospital took on a new look for the first time Sunday, September 20th. The traditional habit with its high “cornette” which has distinguished the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul for 300 years has been simplified to accommodate the needs of the Sisters in modern times. At 11:15 o'clock on Monday morning, a High Mass was sung for the living and deceased members of St. Christopher. , v Frank J. Leppert was remembered in the Mass on Tuesday morning at the request of his widow, Cecilia Leppert. Mary and Patrick Raymer asked that the Mass on Wednesday morning be said for Robert Shields. This morning’s Mass was for Emma Frances O’Neal at the request of the Speedway Golf Club. Mr. and Mrs. James Miller asked that Edward Hegarty be remembered in the Mass tomorrow morning.
