The Speedway Methodist Church will be hosting an Observation Practice School on September 18th at 2:00 pan. and September 19th all day. These sessions will be conducted to instruct teachers in the new Methodist Curriculum for the Church School Anyone interested in teaching this coming year is aske dto call the church office for reservations. The fee will be $3.00. Any member who would like to teach will be aided by the church with the fee if needed. Tickets, at 50c each will be on sale in the church hallway after each service and also on Thursday evening for the First Methodist Men Dinner. Remember this is a Father-Son night, featuring Don Lash, Olympic Runner and ex-FBI man. The menu win be furnished except for steak (or hamburger) which you can charcoal grin to the way you like it. The Rummjage Sale win be held October 17th from 8:00 am. to 3:00 p.m. at the West Michigan Methodist Church. The W.S.C.S. is sponsoring this event, so ladies be saving your rummage sale items now. The M.Y.F. win sponsor a Car Wash on the Parking lot of the Church, on September 19th (Saturday) from 9:00 am to 3:00 p.m. The Sunday evening Hours of Inspiration win be held the second and fourth Sundays of each month, beginning Sunday night, September 13th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Sunday, September 20th, Rev. Johnson willl conduct the Sacrament of Holy Baptism for infants. If you have a child you wish baptised, please call all the necessary information into the church office.
