Indianapolis Senior Citizens’ Center, was selected as the winner of a trip to Chicago at the August birthday party at the Center. The prize donated by Burger Chef, 1348 Stadium Drive Indianapolis, includes round trip bus tickets for two, and a room at the Sherman Hotel Mrs. June Pierce and Mrs. Katherine Ferguson, co-chairmen of the planning committee arranged a travel theme and then went around to businessmen to obtain the trip prizes. Mrs. Sheets, who holds charter membership No. 15 at the Center is now making plans for her trip to Chicago. Techniques of dance band phrasing, jazz and dance band repertorie study, and ensemble and solo playing will be included in the Lab Band course on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Section three, coaching of all instruments in the Art of Improvising, will be given on a group or individual basis with group coaching on an “hours arranged” basis.
