ALUSOFTS RECEIVES CONTRACT Allison Division of General Motors has been awarded a $5»627,720 contract by the U. S. Air Force for production of T 56 turboprop aircraft engines for the Lockheed C-130E Hercules. The contract covers engines for both the U. S. Air Force and the Royal Canadian Air Force. The award is a continuation of the existing production schedule for TS6 engines for advanced models of the four-engine Hercules. FOLKSINGERS MEET The next meeting of the Jewish Community Center Folksingers will take place on Saturday, July 11, at 8:30 pm. at the Center, 6701 Hoover Road. Weather permitting, the group will gather on the patio. Along with a general program of folksongs, led by Harvey Narrol, special attention will be paid to songs dealing with “hard times and ironies of life”. Father Sweeney at the Council’s Out-going Officers din-ner-dance, SUMBWR CONQliff SEASON As part of the summer concert season of your Metropolitan Park District, the Indianapolis All-City Jr. High Band and Orchestra will be featured in a program to be given at the Garfield Park Open-Air Theatre, 600 E. Raymond, at 8.-00 pom, Sunday, July 12. The All-City groups represent the best of the Junior High instrumental students in toe city schools, and have been given credit for a steady rising of the standards in the instrumental music program. There are more than 200 boys and girls participating in these organizations, and they represent almost every elementary school in town. The groups are directed by various instrumental teachers in the public schools, who take turns from year to year. The groups are organized under the leadership of W. O.
