PARK PROGRAM (Continued from Page. 1) 8:30 Tuesday, June 9, at the new high school Peanut League Registration: All Speedway boys, ages 6-7-8 who are interested in our Peanut League program are asked to register at the following parks at the times listed: Main Park, June 8, 10:00 a.m. 22nd Street Park, June 8, 1:30 pan. Meadowood, June 8, 2:30 pan. "3 Anyone who is unable to attend or register at this time, may do so by seeing either Miss Middaugh or Miss Allen, the playground supervisors. Boys from 22nd Street areas should register at Meadowood if not able to register at above date and time. But please indicate loudly that they are from 22nd Street. There is a possibility that the 22nd league will be incorporated with the Meadowood league this year. Last year’s attendance at this diamond totalled about 13 and definitely not enough to have an effective league. I would like to publicly state the purpose of this program. First and foremost, it has been designed, at the request of our baseball association, that this will be a league where all boys will play $s jequal an amount of time as possible. The most important part of our job is to get these young sluggers to enjoy playing baseball and to develop this interest as much as possible. We do not expect to make these boys accomplished baseball players in the time we have them. If they have a good time and get to love this game, and meet new friends and cooperate with the other members of their team and with their coaches, then we feel we have had a successful year. Each boy will need a cap, ball
