SPEEDWAY METHODIST CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) play, “He Goes Before Us,” will be presented by the Sr. Hi MYF. A breakfast will be held for Sr. Hi’s and their families immediately following the service, in Fellowship Hall. Rev. Charles M. Johnson will speak at both the 9:00 and 10:45 o’clock services. His sermon topic will be, “Hidden Victory.” At 9:00 the Chancel and Cloister Choirs will sing. The Cloister Choir’s anthem will be “The Strife is Oe’r” by Peery. The Chancel Choir’s anthems in both services will be “An Easter Carol” by Hallstrom and “Alleluia, Christ is Risen” by Cain. Mrs. John Clark, will sing the offertory solo, “Thanks Be To God” by Joy. The Sacrament of the Baptism of Infants will be observed at the second service. There will be no evening meeting for the Jr. or Sr. Hi MYF. Tonight, March 26, at 7:30 pan., there will be a Candlelight Communion. The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Lewis Hecht, will sing, “Bread of the World,” by Hodges. Mrs. Robert Wise will sing, “The Cross, by Ware. Good Friday Services will be held March 27, at the church, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. The Cherub, Crusader and Carol Choirs will sing. Mrs. Norma Husser, soprano, will sing, “In My Father’s House are Many Mansions” by McDermid. The Crusader Choir will sing “Lonesome Valley.” The Who Class will meet at the church on Saturday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. The class will meet in Fellowship Hall first and then move to the Upper Room for a service based on the Last Supper. All class members, or prospective class members are invited. Wesleyan Bible Class dinner and party will be Monday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Mercer, 4965 West 16th St. Bring your own table service. Bible Study and Prayer Group will meet Tuesday, March 31, 9:30 a.m., in the church parlor. ’ The W.S.C.S. will meet at the Church on Wednesday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. The Commission on Membership and Evangelism will meet Thursday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m., at the church. The Commission on Stewardship and Finance will meet Thursday, April 2, at 7:30 p.m., at the church.

CHRISTOPHER'S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Thursday High Mass and Procession will be at 8:00 p.m. The Blessed Sacrament will be placed on the Altar of Repository and adored by the faithful from 9:00 p.m. until Midnight. At 2:30 p.m. on Good Friday at the solemn Liturgical service, the Adoration of Christ Crucified, the faithful will be permitted to receive Holy Communion, a privilege granted for the first time in 1956 by Pope Pius XII. The Stations of the Cross will be at 7:30 p.m. At 8 o’clock Holy Saturday night will be the Easter Vigil Service, Mass and Holy Communion. Masses on Easter Sunday will be at the same times as usual for Sunday Masses. The collections on Easter will be used for boys of the Archdiocese who are studying for the Holy Priesthood. Confessions are being heard today from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and after evening Mass ... on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 pan. and after evening services . . . and, on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00

pjn. No confessions will be heard after 6:00 pan. Saturday There are no Social parties at St Christopher during Holy Week. They will be resumed after Easter. On Tuesday, March 31st will be Registration Day at St Christopher school from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for children planning to enter the first grade in September. The admission age in the Archdiocesan schools is six years, completed on or before October 10th. To meet the problem of a child who will be six before November Ist a Metropolitan Readiness Test is given at the time of spring registration, and the child must receive a certain score. Those children who will not be six by October 10th, but will be before November Ist must be at the school not later than 1:00 p.m. for the test; and, if the child was not baptized at St. Christopher Church, he or she must bring baptismal certificate. The Altar Society will hold their regular monthly meeting Wednesday night, April Ist, at 8:00 p.m. New officers for 1964-1965 will be elected at the meeting. Congratulations to Charles and Margaret Renie of 5986 Cadillac Drive. Barbara Ann was bom March 19th at St. Vincent Hospital. Margaret’s room is No. 320. The High Mass at 10 o’clock on Sunday morning, the High Masses at 11:15 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the High Mass tonight are all being said for the living and deceased members of St Christopher parish. Be sure to note elsewhere in this paper the date of the Open House at St. Christopher Church . . . Sunday, April sth, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
