Dave Johnson, Marsha Mason and Lynn Hood will deliver the sermon; liturgists will be Mitch Feucht and Kim Mikkelsen. Serving as Ministers of Education will be Kenny Smith and Barry Eversole. Minister of Music will be Alan Davis, and Doris Hawkins will direct the choirs. “O God of Youth” will be sung by the chapel choir at 9:00 and Motet Choir at 11:00. The chancel bouquets for next Sunday will be given by Mr. and Mrs. Lester Heiser in honor of our young people; and Mr. and Mrs. Max Davis and Alan, in memory of Mrs. Davis’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Overstreet. The third bouquet is a gift from station WIFE honoring our church. The bouquet given last Sunday by Mrs. M. G. Spencer and daughters was enjoyed by Mrs. Titus Huber. Senior Hi CYF continues its depth study in theology at 5:30 pm. next Sunday evening. Boys are to bring a favorite dessert and the girls bring 50c for refreshments. for entering the contest is midnight, February 22, and the judging will take place on Saturday, February 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Crossroads, 3242 Sutherland Ave., Indianapolis. The winner of the Miss Indiana contest will represent the state in the Miss America Handicapped Queen contest to be held July 6 thru 8 in Denver, Colorado. The young lady to be chosen will be representative of the selfconfidence, drive, motivation, and desire needed to overcome her disability, 18 to 25 years of age, single, have a high school diploma or its equivalent and now holding a job or furthering her education. She is to be sponsored by an organization or by an individual other than her family. The Queen Contest will be judged on poise, personality, talent, beauty, and personal accomplishment. Each contestant will be asked to express her philosophy on her goals in life, community responsibility, and her outlook on her disability. The winner will receive an all expense paid trip to Colorado, plus many wonderful prizes. Applications may be obtained from Crossroads Rehabilitation Center. All Circles meeting in the evening will have a combined meeting this month in Fellowship Hall on Tuesday, February 4th at 7:30 pm. Colston will lecture on Psychology of Adolescence in a series of presentations beginning February 16 and continuing February 23 and March Ist, 3:00-4:00 pm. in the Bethany Room. If you parents would answer the following questions (and mail them in to the church or drop in box provided in the church narthex) it will help Dr. Colston in more specifically meeting our needs: (1) What are some of your greatest frustrations as parents of teenagers? (2) What are some of your greatest satisfactions as parents of teenagers? (3) What questions or problems of teenage behavior puzzle you most? May we have your comments before February 9th?
