Members of the Junior CTO and other youth organizations at St. Christopher will receive corporate Holy Comrnunion at the 8 o'clock Mass Sunday morning. Recognitions will be made by Herb White Sunday in the social room at the parish CYO Recognition night. This annual affair, which is from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., is for adults, teenagers, boy and girls who have participated in youth activities . . . whether coaches for all sports, directors of cultural affairs, spiritual events, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Cubs, and parents. Alter recognitions have been made, there will be group singing led by Paul and Catherine Burton. Refreshments of cookies, cakes, and drinks will be served. There will be a general cleaning of the school kitchen Tuesday, January 21st, at 10:00 am. All ladies or men available are welcome. Lunch will be served. Phyllis Stevens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stevens, was chosen last week from three candidates selected by the faculty and voted on by the Juniors and Seniors of St. Mary’s Academy to represent the Academy at the city-wide, public school Heart Fund Dance (the Sweetheart Ball), on Saturday evening, February Ist, at the Medical Center. The candidates must be Juniors. St Christopher is very happy that Phyllis was chosen, and also that another of the three candidates selected was Belinda Byrne. The queen is chosen by the highest number of votes she obtains from her school at the ball. Are you interested in being on the new parish baby sitting list? Vermont, and will continue every Tuesday and Friday for five weeks. Application cards signed by the pastor or assistant are to be brought to the first meeting. The High Mass on Monday morning was sung for Margaret Brooks at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Dug Dale. At 11:15 on Tuesday morning, the Mass was for Mary J. Herrmann. The Academy students and council of St. Mary’s requested the Mass. The William Sam Fogarty family requested the Mass on Wednesday morning be said for William Fogarty. This morning’s Mass was for John C. and Catherine C. Flynn at the request of Mary Zener.

working on" the ii«{ni»n. ance Fund Drive for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Chairman of the West Group Maintenance Drive is Mrs. J. A. O’Neal and Co-chairman is Mrs. E. Lewis. The goal for the members of the various women’s committees in the city is $60,000 in the $200,000 campaign to raise funds for the Indianappifa Symphony Orchestra. The drive this year extends from Jan. 15th to Feb. 14th. Special guests attending the coffee will be Mr. Hubert Scott, Manager of the Orchestra and Mrs. Josef Y. Dahlstrand Jr., general chairman of the women's maintenance activities. Mr. Scott will brief the volunteer members present - The following members will attend; Mrs. John R. Hoss, Mrs. Joe Parker, Mrs. Jack Schenck, Mrs. M Winkler, Mrs. J. Hodgson, Mrs. Donald Ottinger and Mrs. M. Benner. Marion County Council P-11 Marion County Council of PTA —10:00 a.m. o’clock, Monday, January 20th, Ayres’ auditorium—program—business meeting, Mrs. Norman R. Richhart, Jr., president presiding and State Legislative Workshop planned by Mrs. Keith Hardy, legislation committee chairman of the council. The session will open with Miss Pamela Stevens, freshman at Perry East junior high school, presenting her second place winning speech on Citizenship in the Marion County American Legion Oratorical contest Mrs. Hardy will discuss the legislative program for 1964 in its entirety. This program is released from the Indiana Congress and will project interest to local units. Women's Program At Krannert YMCA The Krannert “Y” announced today their Winter II Ladies Day Out Program that begins on Thursday, February 6th. An outstanding program has been developed and certain activities are open to non-members of the “Y.” Registration Week is January 25February sth. The Informal Education Program includes: Intermediate Bridge Instruction 9:30-11:30 with Mrs. Ruth Ray a Goren Instructor. Fee is $6.00 for members and $ll.OO for non-members or six week course. Interior Decoration 10:00-11:30 with Mrs. Morris Instructor. No fee for members and $5.00 fee for non-members for six week course. Miljinary from 1:002:30 with the Jaunita Hat Shop Instructor. Fee is $5.00 for “Y” members and SIO.OO for non-mem. bers. Knitting 1:00-2:30 with Mary Glidewell instructor, and First Aid Home Nursing Course 1:002:30. Baby sitters are available for all classes. The Physical Phase of the program which is opened to “Y” members includes: Tadpole Swim instruction for 3-5 year olds 9:159:45: Women Beginners 10:0010:45 and Women Fish 10:45-11:30. The gym program includes Slimnastics from 9:00-9:30: Volleyball 9:30-10:30: Trampoline and Badminton 10:30-11:30. Afternoon is recreation swim from 1:00-3:00. Other programs offered to the women are: Beginner Swim Monday 6:45-7:30, and Women Fish on Wednesday from 6:45-7:30. The Women’s Volleyball League plays every Tuesday morning.
