Baby sitting facilities are provided from 9-11 a.m. The Sunday Church School Caroling Program will be held this Sunday between the services, at 10 a.m. The various departments of the church school will sing carols, and a fellowship hour for families will follow the program. A “Luther League Alum” Holiday Party will be held on Monday, December 23, from 8:30-11:30 p.m. at the church. All post-high youth are invited. Christmas Eve services are scheduled for 8 p.m., a family and 11 p.m., a choral communion. The community is invited to these special celebrations of the coming of the Christ.

Annual Christmas Party The West Side area of the Key to the City Newcomer’s Civic Club will have their annual Christmas party Thursday, December 19th, at the First Bank and Trust Co. of Speedway. After a short business meeting at 8:00 p.m., games are planned and refreshments will be served. Highlight of the evening is a Christmas cookie exchange among the members. Those planning on attending are reminded to bring small gifts for distribution to the older patients who must spend this Christmas at Marion County General Hospital. Interest Groups meeting in January are: The Sewing Group, at the home of Mrs. Bruce Maine, 6202 Regina Circle. Instruction will be given on the making of smocked pillows. A planning meeting for the next dinner scheduled by the Gourmet Group will be held at the residence of Mrs. James Campbell, 5868 Nash Lane, on Jan. 20th. The Civic Project Group, devoted to aiding Marion General Hospital, will meet the second Wednesday of January. Members plan on making surgical masks for hospital usage. Mrs. Harmon Baldwin, chairman. Communion Service will be included in the Sunday Evening meeting on December 29th at 7:00 p.m. The final Service of 1963 is to be the Watchnite Service, Tuesday night, December 31st. It will commence at 9:00 p.m.—running past the midnight hour into the New Year 1964. To all the above mentioned Services the residents of this com. munity are most cordially invited. Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m.; at 10:45 the Preaching Service; and the Evening Service at 7 o’clock. Prayer Meeting is held every Wednesday evening -at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Metropolitan School District of Wayne Twp. The initial meeting of the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township School Board Screening Caucus was held on Thursday night, December 12, at 7:30 p.m., in the Wayne Central Building of Ben Davis High School. , Dr. Forbis Jordan, Assistant Executive Secretary of the Indiana School Boards Association, was the guest speaker. Dr. Jordan briefed the caucus members as to the background of such groups, their purpose, and outline the general structure and procedures to be followed. Dr. Jordan offered suggestions for the local organization. Those caucus members who attended the initial meeting on Thursday have been selected by the patron organizations of the schools of the school corporation. Individuals selected by the PTA/PTO groups were chosen because of their interest in the schools and because of their desire to assist in the selection of candidates for the school board on a “non-partisan” basis. Roscoe Conkle, Sr., presided at the meeting as pro-tem chairman. EUCHRE PARTY HAM & BACON NITE The Drexel Garden’s Fire Department will sponsor a euchre party at the fire station, 5245 West Uaomi Street, Friday evening, Dec. 20, 1963, game time 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served all evening.
