SPEEDWAY METHODIST CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Charles M. Johnson will speak, at both services of worship on Sunday, December 22. The Crusader and Chancel Choir will sing at the 9:00 o’clock service. The Carol, Chancel, and Cherub choirs will sing at the second service. The Chancel Choir will sing the Anthem, “Glory To God In The Highest” by Pergolesi. The Cherub choir will sing, “Infant Holy” by Reed. Each service will be preceded by singing of “Fanfare For Christmas Day” by Shaw, sung by Chancel Choir with Russell Sinks and Charles Woodard, trumpeters. Pre-service organ music will be played by Miss Jan Foltz. The Commission on Education is planning a Christmas Program and Party for the entire Church School on Sunday, December 22, at 6:30 pan., in the sanctuary. The Woman’s Society of Christian Service will serve refreshments after the program in Fellowship Hall. Santa Claus will come with gifts for all the children to climax the evening. A rehearsal for the program will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, December 21st for all children participating. There will be no choir rehearsals next week. Rehearsals will resume with the beginning of School on January 2. Student Recognition Day will be observed on Sunday, December 29. All College Students are invited to enjoy refreshments after each service of worship, in Fellowship Hall, sponsored by The Woman’s Society of Christian Service. The Chancel Choir will have a “pitch-in” supper on Sunday, December 29. Time and place will be announced later. “Service of Lights” the traditional Christmas Eve service will be held at 11:00 p.m., December 24.
