ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Pae* January 3d. These Social Parties, which begin at 7 o’clock, are for men and women. The annual Scout Fair will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in St. Christopher school social room. Most of the troops in Speedway will take part. One Senior troop will be serving sandwiches, rolls and drinks. There will be loads and loads of Christmas decorations and gifts offered for sale. There will be many little items priced at ten and fifteen cents for children. Members of the Junior CYO and all youth organizations of St. Christopher will receive corporate Holy Communion Sunday at the eight o’clock Mass. St. Christopher still had their three teams in the running in the Quiz Contest Sunday, but No. 1 team lost to Holy Name at Holy Name. No. 2 team won from Holy Trinity, at Holy Trinity, and No. 3 team won from St. Michael at St. Christopher. Therefore, No. 2 and No. 3 teams will compete in the 4th round Sunday, December 15th. Members of No. 1 team were Linda and Brenda Byrnes, Carol Fieber, and Gregg Martich . . . No. 2 team members aie Theresa and Elaine Renie, Kathy Hatch and Kathy Stevens . . . No. 3 team members are Vicki and Rick Wagner, Barbara and Nancy Zeph. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred on adults Sunday afternoon, December 15th, at 2:30, at St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, 1347 N. Meridian. Candidates from St. Christopher must pick up their Confirmation cards at the rectory and present them at the Cathedral. If they were not baptized at St. Christopher, they must bring their Baptismal certificate to the rectory when they come to get their Confirmation card. Next Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are ember days . . .

Services were at 10 o’clock Saturday morning at the Conkle Funeral Home with burial in Holy Cross cemetery. A High Mass was sung at 11:15 on Monday morning for Mr. and Mrs. Edward Greenan. On Tuesday morning the High Mass was for Mary Martin at the request of Marvin Martin and family. The sixth grade of St. Christopher school requested that the High Mass on Wednesday morning be sung for Margaret Brooks. Emma Frances O’Neal was remembered in the Mass this morning at the request of the Intention Club. Tomorrow morning the Mass will be for Mary J. Herrmann. Emily Annee has requested the Mass. The Mass on Saturday morning will be for Frank Kreffel at the request of his widow, Ruth Kreffel. Bob Nester came home from the Methodist hospital Sunday, and while he has a heap of convalesing to do, he was able to come home, and we are all glad. Mrs. Florence Goldey is still at Robert Long Hospital in Room 87, and they have not said when they will release her. Let’s all pray for her.
