Baptist Woman's Mission Society To Meet The Woman’s Mission Society of the Baptist Church of the Master, 1620 N. Girls School Road, will meet Monday, November 11, 7:30 p.m., at the church. Guest speaker for the evening will be Marjorie Maxwell from Central Baptist Church. She will give a book review on “Man Reaches Out to God,” which is this month’s theme for woman’s groups in churches throughout the American Baptist Convention. Devotions will be given by Nina Klein and Essie Carroll will be the leader of the program. Refreshments will be served. Everyone interested is cordially invited to attend. We wish to extend a special invitation and welcome to members of the Lyndhurst Baptist Woman’s Mission Society. Speedway Homemakers Fraulein Marsh will be hostess for the meeting of Speedway Homemakers on Thursday, November 14th. Speedway Associate Tri Kappa News The October meeting of the Speedway Associate Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa was held at the home of Mrs. W. Stanley South. Mrs. Charles Eversole, the new treasurer, was installed by the president, Mrs. Vernon McNaughton. The chapter members decided to collect used eyeglasses as a charitable project for the year. Anyone having either discarded glasses, frames or both may get further information by calling either AX. 1-8379 or CH. 4-2119. Synchronized Swimming A Synchronized Swimming Workshop is being offered to women 16 years and older by the Westwood Mannemaids. The meetings will be on Tuesday nights at 8:00. CANADIAN PLAYERS PRESENT IBSEN AND SHAKESPEARE The Canadian Players will visit Indiana Central College Nov. 8 and 9 for the fourth year, giving, two productions for the first time —one Ibsen and one Shakespeare. The celebrated actors from Toronto, Ont., will present “An Enemy of the People,” by the Norwegian playwright, Henrik Ibsen, Friday night as the opening number of the college’s sixth annual Artist Series. Then, as a special attraction, they will stage Part I of William Shakespeare’s “King Henry IV” Saturday Night. Single admission prices for any performance are $3 for adults, $2 for students. These rates apply to all five Artist Series and to “King Henry IV.” However, persons who purchase season tickets for the series may buy tickets for the Shakespearean bonus offering at $2 for adults and $1.25 for students. Children’s Museum Brittany will be the subject of the program to be given at the Children’s Museum, 3010 North Meridian St., next Saturday (November 9) at 11 a.m„ Mrs. Grace Golden, museum director? has nounced. Miss Margaret Kingdon, a senior at Broad Ripple high school, .will tell of the summer she spent in Brittany in connection *wi th the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Language. The museum is now accepting enrollment for the Weather badge to be offered to interested Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls in December. The Service Men's Center provides off-duty leisure and recreational facilities for members of the Armed Forces.
