ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) Since tomorrow is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patronal saint of the Sisters of St. Francis at our school, there will be no school for the grade children. Tomorrow night, St. Christopher Social Party from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. in the school social room, 5335 W. 16th street. The public is invited . . . donation twenty-five cents. Hour for St. Christopher men at the Nocturnal Adoration, Blessed Sacrament Chapel, 14th and Meridian, Indianapolis, is from 5:00 to 6:00 a.m. Saturday, October sth. Saturday is First Saturday. Baking Contest is Saturday from 11:30 a.m. till 5 o’clock in the afternoon in the church basement for the 7th, Bth, and high school boys and girls. Awards and pictures of the winners will be at 5:00 p.m. All entries will be offered for sale Sunday morning after the Masses as long as they last. A hay ride is scheduled for Saturday night for the Junior CYO, leaving the school yard at 7 o’clock and back at 10:30 p.m., with a wiener roast afterwards. Members of the Altar Society will receive corporate Holy Communion Sunday morning at the 8 o’clock Mass. Annual Hobby Show for all grades will be held at St. Christopher, Saturday and Sunday, October 12th and 13th. The winners of this show will compete against the ribbons from other schools at the Deanery Show in the K. of C. Hall on October 29th. Mesdames Richard Rost and Joseph Zishka will be co-chairmen of our show. There will be six divisions, fine art, skilled crafts, kit crafts, collections, baking and sewing. All the room mothers of St. Christopher school held a meeting Tuesday afternoon in the Bth grade classroom. A High Mass was sung on Monday morning at 8 o’clock for Frank Peters at the request of the Jessie Peters family. The Mass on Tuesday morning remembered Agnes Reddington. Catherine Thomas and daughter, Louise, requested the Mass. Neighbors and friends of Sadie Mann offered the Mass yesterday morning for the repose of her soul. John Heron was remembered in the Mass this morning at the request of the family. Tomorrow morning the Mass will be sung for the living and deceased members of the parish. The Mass on Saturday morning will be for Joe Mazar at the request of his widow, Julie Mazar. Pray your Rosary daily for peace in the world. Nora Bray
