This appointment was made by President Lawrence B. Wong of San Francisco, Cal. This international association has a membership of 7000 food executives throughout the world. Mr. Dault is the first Hoosier to receive appointment to the Executive Committee of F.S.E.A. This association is one of the oldest fraternal organizations of executive personnel in the food service industry. It was established in 1901 and is the most active and dedicated group of food service management and executive personnel in the world today. Mr. Dault also serves as secretary of the Indianapolis branch. The local branch was recently honored at the 62nd International Convention held in Las Vegas, Nev., as the “Most outstanding branch for the year 1963.” This award was accomplished under the leadership of Mr. Wm. R. Knox, president of the local branch and owner of the Heritage Cafeterias here in Indianapolis. Mr. Dault is a past president of the Speedway Lions Club and resides at 2312 N. Fisher St.

The Men’s Club are sponsoring a Stag Thursday evening, October 3d, from 6:30 p.m. to midnite in the school social room. Boys and girls of the 7th, Bth 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades who are planning on entering the first annual St. Christopher Baking Contest Saturday, October sth must get their entries in (name and division) today at latest. Call Father Richart, Mrs. Herbert White (CH. 1-0244), or Mrs. William Aust (CH. 4-4484). Instructions for boys and girls attending public high schools began this week. Father Lindemann is instructing the Juniors and Seniors on Monday evening at 7 o’clock in the church basement and Father Richart the Freshmen and Sophomores on Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock in the church. These instructions are a must on the part of the parents as well as the boys and girls, Father has emphasized. Our Cadet football team, who are defending city champions, defeated St. Joan of Arc Sunday afternoon at the CYO Field 21 to 0. Seventh and eighth grade boys are members of the Cadet team. A High Mass was sung on Monday morning at 8 o’clock for Mary Donovan at the request of the Stieglitz and Potter families. Richard J. Swift was remembered in the Mass on Tuesday morning. The Bill Rahe family requested the Mass. Yesterday morning the Mass was offered for Sadie Mann at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Freund, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Medenwald and Nora Bray. Today’s Mass was one of thanksgiving offered by Gertrude Joyce. Tomorrow the Mass will be for the living and deceased members of St. Christopher parish. Paul B. Montgomery will be remembered in the Mass Saturday morning at the request of William Cooper and railroad friends. Boy Scout Troop 500 of St. Christopher are inviting all boys, 11 to 18 years old, to join up with them, camp out, hike, and learn how to have fun while becoming a good citizen. Sacred Heart Discussion Group met Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. with Marie Hatch. The St. Gerard Group met Tuesday night at 6:45 p.m. with Shirley Harmon. Annual public Novena to St. Theresa, Little Flower of Jesus, began Wednesday evening, September 25th, at Little Flower Church, Indianapolis, as well as many private novenas. The varsity football team lost to Brownsburg 13-12 in a MidState game last Friday. On Monday night the Speedway reserves lost to Southport 34-13. In cross country the varsity defeated Chatard 18 to 45 and the reserves won 15 to 50. "Our Hoosier Heritage" Presents Story of Circus “Circus,” detailing Indiana's part in the important role this form of entertainment held in the United States at the turn of the century, will be the next presentation of “Our Hoosier Heritage" Friday, September 27 at 9:30 pun. and Sunday, September 29 at 8:30 p.m. on WFBM-TV. Among the famous names detailed in the 30-minute documentary will be the circus organisations of Hegenback, Wallace and the Sells Brothers. Rare films of the old Wallace winter quarters in Peru. Indiana, will be utilized on the program, showing Big Top canvas work, the famous circus wagons undergoing refurbishing, and tffe ani- ’ mals in action. “Circus” explains how the Big Top brought an influx of international performers to the Hoosier state ... performers who to this day live and contribute to their adopted Indiana communities.
