Tri Kappa News The home of Mrs. William Faust, 4957 West 15th Street was the setting for a reception given by Epsilon Eta Chapter and the Associate Chapter in honor of Mrs. Russell Petit, newly appointed Province 11 officer of Kappa Kappa Kappa. The house was beautifully decorated with candles and arrangements of fall flowers. Refreshments of cake and punch were served to eighty-five members and guests. Those from out of town who attended were: Mrs. Richard Pickett, Council President from Greenfield; Mrs. Arthur Niles, Council Secretary, Plainfield; Mrs. Louise Barton, Province 5; Mrs. Rosalind Bray, Province 6; Mrs. Carol Myers, Province 7 and Mrs. Elmira McKean, Province 8.

We learned Monday that the ladies are planning on sponsoring those enjoyable Ladies Parties again this year, and the tentative date of Friday, September 20th, was given to us. More later. The Mass on Monday morning at 8 o’clock was sung for the living and deceased members of the parish. The Mass on Tuesday morning celebrated the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary of Agnes and Leonard Benedetto. Mr. and Mrs. Fetherling requested the Mass on Wednesday morning for Bernard Patrick. This morning the Mass was for Kathleen Barrett at the request of Mary Zener. An Anniversary Mass will be said tomorrow morning for Alan Rainnes. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Bender requested the Mass. Frank Kreffel will be remembered in the Mass on Saturday morning at the request of his widow, Ruth Kreffel. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday next week are ember days, days of fast and partial abstinence, except Friday which of course is a day of total abstinence. Marian College is offering adult education evening classes on Tuesday and Thursday for eight weeks beginning October Ist and 3d. Their Theology Department is offering an eight week course on Mass. Commentator Training Course. The fee for each course is five dollars. Registration will be held at the school daily until 4:30 p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, October Ist and 3d, from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Pray your Rosary daily for peace in the world.
