Roses on the lectern last Sunday announced the birth of Robert Thomas Vincent, born August 9 to Robert and Carol Vincent, 3909 S. Lyndhurst Dr.; and Joel Arthur Gummere, born August 29 to Joe and Jodee Gummere, 2820 W. 29th St. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. S. Arthur Gummere. There will be NO Open House after the game Friday, September 6th. The first Open House of the school year will be Friday night, October 4th. The Sr. Hi CYF will conduct their annual Paper Drive this Saturday, September 7th. Workers should be on the lot at 16th and Lyndhurst by 9 a.m. Bring lunch and at least a carton of any drink per person. Monday, September 9th, the Pastor’s Cabinet will meet in Room B-l at 7 p.m. Men’s Fellowship Steering Committee meet in Bethany Room at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 10th, Official Board Meeting, Room B-l, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 11th, Anna Circle will meet at McLaughner’s Cafeteria for lunch at 12 noon. Program—Visit Central State Hospital. Worship will be conducted by Mrs. Geneva Frederick. Thursday, September 12th, Golden Rule Fellowship in Bethany Room, 1:30-3:00 p.m. A service of baptism will be held on Sunday, September Bth. Those who have united with the Church in the past few weeks and have not yet been baptized will please call the church office, CH. 4-2000, for further instructions. A meeting of organization is announced for September Bth, 2:00 p.m., by the Westside Church Bowling League. This League bowls at 3:30 on Sunday afternoons. Bowlers young and old, new and experienced, all are invited to attend this meeting. It is a lot of fun and all are welcome. Sunday, September Bth, 2:00 p.m. at the Lyndhurst Bowl.
