SPEEDWAY METHODIST CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) “What’s Going On Here?” is the theme on which Rev. Charles M. Johnson will speak at both services of worship on Sunday, September 1. Mrs. Howard A. Robison will sing the Offertory Solo, “Give Peace, O Lord” by Kempinski. The Summer Choir will sing the anthem at the 10:45 o’clock service. The Woman’s Society of Christian Service will meet on Wednesday, September 4, at 8:00 p.m., in the church parlor. Communion will follow in the sanctuary. Indpls. Hiking Club The Indianapolis Hiking Club will hike in Clifty Falls State Park Labor Day week end. In addition to hiking, the Club will visit historical landmarks and attend the Governor’s Cup Race at the 16th Madison Regatta.

SCHOOL NEWS (Continued from Page 1) Birth certificates will be required of all Kindergarten pupils and all first grade pupils who did not attend Speedway Schools last year. To be eligible for Kinder-* garten a child must be five years old by September 9. To be eligible for the first grade a child must be six years old by September 9. JUNIOR-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL High School students, grades 912, will report to the new high school according to the time schedule they received in the mail. Junior High School pupils, grades 7-8, will report to homerooms in the Junior High building as designated in the schedule which they have picked up or which is available at the Junior High School office, 5151 West 14th Street.
