ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (Continued from Page I) parish, Holy Trinity. Music will be by Ron Hopper, disc jockey. They danced under the stars Tuesday evening in the new St. Christopher outdoor pavilion. On Saturday, they are to picnic at Noblesville Park. Reservations should be made with Kay Brothers on or before Friday, tomorrow. Members of the Junior C.Y.O. and other youth organizations at St. Christopher will receive corporate Holy Communion Sunday morning at the 8 o’clock Mass. All the 4th, sth, 6th, 7th, and Bth grade St. Christopher boys who are interested in playing football this season either on the Cadet football team or the 100 lb. team are requested to show up for practice Tuesday, August 20th, at 5:15 p.m. at the Speedway Park behind the school. Herb White, coach. Ray Esaman and Jerry Brothers, assistant coaches. Last Sunday morning three of our former parishioners were installed as officers in St. Gabriel’s Holy Name Society . . . Robert Spitzer, Ist vice-president, James L. Rosner, treasurer, and William H. Royse, Jr., secretary. One of our neighboring parishes, St. Michael’s, is holding their 12th Annual Festival tomorrow and Saturday, August 16th and 17th, on the church school yard at 30th and Tibbs Avenue. As 30th Street is very much torn up, one way which was suggested to get there was north on Kessler to 31st, then west on 31st. The High Mass sung at 8 o’clock Monday morning was for Mary Ann Maze at the request of Mrs. Anna Maze. An Anniversary Mass on Tuesday morning was sung for Sarah Carroll. The Thomas Carroll family requested the Mass. Richard J. Swift was remembered in the Mass on Wednesday morning at the request of the family. This morning the High Mass was at 9 o’clock. It was sung for Gurgan Gregoryan from the estate. On Friday and Saturday mornings, the Masses will be for the living and deceased members of St. Christopher parish. Tentative registration day for pupils planning to attend St. Christopher school is Monday, August 26th. On this day second-hand books may be bought and sold. Details will be given next week. School will be open in all eight grades on Wednesday morning, September 4th, with full day sessions. Pray your Rosary daily for peace in the world. Nora Bray

Ball State Teachers College will confer 313 bachelor’s, 393 master’s and at least three doctor’s degrees at the Commencement exercise on the Arts Building Terrace at 5 p.m., on Wednesday, August 21. Dr. Perry Greshman, president of Bethany College, Bethany, W. Virginia, will give the commencement address. He will speak on “Liberal Education in a Changing America.” President John R. Emens, Ball State, will confer degrees on candidates and hood the new doctoral candidates.
