Information about time to report will be given in a later issue of the Flyer. Students who attended Speedway Schools last year, and will be in grades 7 and 8, may pick up their schedule sheets at the junior high school during the week of August 19. Students in grades 9 through 12 may expect a notice of their schedule by mail the latter part of August. Mostly due to a decrease in state support, the recently published school budget for 1964 is $3.73 versus $3.05 for 1963. This will be reduced if the sales tax is declared constitutional. Even with the increase the published rate for Speedway Schools is $1.34 less than the rate published for any other Marion County school corporation. The Cumulative Building rate of $1.17 is included in the $3.73 and will be adequate for obligations incurred for the new high school. This rate was not increased from last year. Judy Rumbaugh received a red ribbon for her Foods I exhibit in the local 4-H contest. Her name was unintentionally omitted in last week’s news. Card of Thanks I wish to thank everyone who remembered me with cards, flowers, gifts and many calls during my recent stay in the hospital. They were deeply appreciated. Letha Sansone
