Notice Of Town Meeting For Nomination Of Candidates For Offices A Town meeting, open to all residents of the Town of Speedway over the age of twenty-one (21) years, will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 1963, at 7:30 p.m. in the old Speedway High School gymnasium, 14th and Winton Avenue, for the purpose of nominating and selecting candidates to oppose each other on the Citizens Party and Peoples Party tickets in the November Town election. Town offiees to be filled are five (5) members of the Town Board of Trustees (one from each of the five (5) wards of the Town) and Clerk-Treasurer. * Any resident of the Town qf Speedway who is over 21 years of age and has not been disfrancised by undergoing a sentence of imprisonment on conviction for a felony or misdemeanor may be a candidate for the Town Board of Trustees if nominated at the meeting by another resident of such candidate’s ward and if the nomination is seconded in like manner. Any resident of the Town may be a candidate for Clerk-Treasurer of the Town and can be nominated and seconded by any other resident of the Town. At the close of nominations, balloting at the meeting will be held to seleit the top two candidates for each office. Each qualified Speedway resident in attendance at the meeting may ballot for one candidate for Trustee from each ward and one Clerk-Treasurer at large. Following the balloting, the Citizens Party and Peoples Party will be organized. The candidate receiving the highest number of votes in each ward shall be petitioned for as the candidates for the Citizens Party and the candidates receiving the second highest number of votes in

Oeth, Clerk-Treasurer “Going To College” Course From Aug. 13 to Aug. 29 Indiana Central College will present a rather unique program for beginning college students. We will offer through the Evening Division review courses in mathematics and English and a special course in “Going to Ccfllege” which will emphasize how to study, take notes, write examinations, and the various mechanical phases involved in higher education. m These classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for three weeks from 7 to 9:30. We feel that these courses will be a real service to both recent high school graduates and adults who have been out of school for some time.
