ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CATHOUC CHURCH (Continued from Page 1) the Masses to contribute to and become a part of the Vatican Pavilion at the New York World’s Fair. This Pavilion will accommodate the famous “Pieta” of Michael Angelo and an accurate, full-scale replica of the excavations surrounding the tomb of St. Peter The Masses on Race Day will be at 6:15 and 8 o’clock in the morning. They will both be Low Masses. Father Lindemann will say the 8 o’clock Mass for the safety of the personnel at the track and the people going to the Race. After the 8 o’clock Mass, the church will be closed until 5:30 in the afternoon, when the Rosary will be recited and an opportunity given for those who wish to receive Holy Communion. Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Richard Swift who died Thursday night, May 16th, at his home in his fourth heart attack. His funeral Mass was said at 9 o’clock Monday morning and he was buried in Calvary cemetery. High Masses being said this week are as follows: At 6:15 Monday morning, the Mass was for the living and deceased members of St Christopher parish. The eight o’clock Mass was for the intentions of Judith Hoff. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, the 6:15 Masses were for Anna Lynch, Mary Catherine Nihil, and Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Nihil, respectively, at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dady. At eight o’clock the Masses on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings were said for the intentions of Henrietta Godich, of Sandra Bartley, and of Joseph a Irwin, respectively. Tomorrow the 6:15 Mass will be for Richard Swift at the request of John M. Meyer. The 8 o’clock Mass will be for the intentions of Cecilia Stevens. The Henry Rosner family have requested that the 8 o’clock Mass on Saturday be said for Mary Catherine Parker. At eleven o’clock on Saturday morning, there will be a Nuptial Mass. Paul Bernard Schoetle will be married to Norma Jean Grady of St. Christopher parish. Our congratulations to Bob Kritzler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Kritzler of 6905 Carlsen Avenue, who is now Lieut. Robert P. Kritzler! He was graduated May 17th from Pilot Training School at Webb Air Force Base, Big Springs, Texas, and he now has his “Wings” and is a jet pilot in the U. S. Air Force. Bob plans to be home a few days in time for the 500 Race before going on to his next assignment Our congratulations to Kathy Burke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burke, 5870 Cadillac Drive, who was chosen Junior Prom Queen at St. Mary’s Academy! The Junior Prom was Friday night, May 17th, in the Downey Council K of C. Two Discussion Groups met Tuesday night ... St. Gerard Group with Carolyn Such and the Ave Marie Group with Joyce Peters. Holy Trinity Annual Parish May Festival will be held this Saturday and Sunday and next Wednesday, May 25, 26, and 29th. Lunch will be served at 5:00 p.m daily during these days.
