Jehovah's Witness Assembly Final plans have been made by the West congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses to attend the three day assembly to be held May 10-12, 1963, at the Farmers’ Building, Indiana State Fair Grounds. Mr. Sylvester Strong, Presiding minister, said “Because of the world pressure on ministers of religion today, the theme of the event will be ‘Right Kind of Ministers’.” Emphasizing this theme Saturday, May 11, at 1:30 p.m. new ministers will be ordained after hearing the subject “Dedication and Baptism.” An invitation was extended to all to attend any session.

Rosary and Holy Communion at 5:30 p.m. . . . and, Litany and Holy Communion at 8:00 p.m. First Saturday, May 4th, services will be the same as the First Friday services, except that there will be no evening service. The hour assigned to the men of St. Christopher parish for the Nocturnal Adoration at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel tomorrow night is from 12:00 midnite to 1:00 a.m. Saturday. Members of the Altar Society will receive corporate Holy Communion at the eight o’clock Mass Sunday morning, May 6th. Members of the Altar Society will enjoy a pitch-in-dinner at their May monthly meeting, Wednesday, May Bth, to which they have invited members of the Holy Name Society. Time set for the dinner in the school social room is 6:30 p.m. The committee will furnish the ham, green beans, au-gratin potatoes, rolls and drinks. Members are asked to bring generous helpings of other vegetable dishes, salads, and desserts, and table-place-settings for themselves and their husbands. Helen Thrash and Frances Young are chairmen. The Cathedral High School Music Department will present their Annual Spring Concert Saturday and Sunday nights, May 4th and sth, at 8:15 p.m. Sacred Heart Discussion Group met with Rose Sherman Monday night at 8 o’clock. This week High Masses were sung at 6:15 a.m. and at 8:00 a.m. On Monday the 6:15 Mass was for Jack Dowd, as requested by Alice Cartwright. At eight o’clock an Anniversary Mass was for John Helmer at the request of Ida Helmer. On Tuesday morning, Mary Breen was remembered at 6:15. Mrs. Mayura Egan requested the Mass. The 8 o’clock Mass was for the intention of Sister Rose Clare. The 6:15 Mass Wednesday morning was for a special intention of John L. McNelis. The 8 o’clock Mass was for the parish. Lenore McEvoy was remembered at 6:15 this morning at the request of Joseph Kriegen. The eight o’clock Mass was for the intention of Sister Anthony Marie. Tomorrow morning, August Rosner will be remembered at 6:15 at the request of William and Frances Byrne. The eight o’clock Mass will be for the intention of Sister Rosemary. On Saturday morning, the 6:15 Mass will be a Low Mass. At eight o’clock, Ruth Lang will be remembered at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hahn. Pray your Rosary daily for peace in the world.
