Methodist Youth Fellowship Fall Program for Jr. Hi’s gets underway this Sunday, Sept. 9, at 5:00 p.m., at the church, with a big “Kick-Off.” All 7th and Bth graders are urged to be on hand. “The School Re-Organization Story” is the theme of the Open Forum to be held on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m., at the church. Young Catholic Adults will hold their regular meeting at Holy Rosary church, 616 South East street, Indianapolis, tonight. Recitation of the Rosary begins at 8:15, meeting at 8:30 p.m. Tomorrow is First Friday. The morning schedule is the same. Rosary and Holy Communion at 5:15 p.m. and again at 6:45 pan. Hour for the men of St. Christopher for Nocturnal Adoration at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, 14th and Meridian, will be 2:00 to 3:00 a.m. Saturday, September Bth. Tomorrow night the boys will have try outs for the choirs under the direction of Jim McCaslin, the new choir director of St. Christopher. It is now planned that the boys will try out again Friday night, September 14th, and the men on Monday night, September 17th. Members of the Holy Name Society will receive corporate Holy Communion at the 8 o’clock Mass Sunday morning, September 9th. Breakfast and meeting in the social room will follow the Mass. The guest speaker at the breakfast-meeting will be Marshall McCuen, project engineer at Allison. The subject of Mr. McCuen’s illustrated talk will be “Stairway to the Planets.” John Ruthven, president of the Society will preside. St. Christopher grade school opened Tuesday morning with the 8 o’clock High Mass. School was held for half-days on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the school bus on schedule except Tuesday morning. The High Mass on Saturday morning will be said according to the intention of Father Lindemann at the request of the Altar Society. 4 Father Lindemann is improving. In fact, he. was told last week that he could go home any time he wanted to go, but that he would have to leave his leg at the hospital. His room number at St. Francis is 103. Other High Masses this week were on Monday morning according to the special intention of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baskerville and on Wednesday * morning according to the special intention of the James Wolf family. Steven Earl Hensler was remembered this morning in the Mass at the request of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Williams and family. Tomorrow morning, the Mass will be said for Mary Catherine Parker at the request of John Rosner.
