Amateur Talent Contest The Marion County Fair will sponsor an amateur talent “extravaganza” on Saturday, August 11, final evening of the week-long exposition. Young MacDonald's Farm At Fair “Young MacDonald’s Farm,” a popular State Fair exhibit sponsored by the Future Farmers of America, will be unusually colorful this year. Wood shavings which normally cover the ground will be dyed National Blue and Corn Gold, the official F.F.A. colors. In addition to young farm animals, the exhibit will also feature old-time farm machinery and the story of the F.F.A. The display will be open the length of the Fair, August 25 through September 5.

Scout Day Hoosier Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Campfire Girls will be guests of the Indiana State Fair on Scout Day, August 29. “Happy” Herb Isaacs of WTTV will emcee a special free program which will feature the Indianapolis Police Department K-9 Corps, the Kunieh Indian Dancers, rodeo acts, and International Building talent. The Scouts themselves will participate in part of the program: the Boy Scout Band will present a short concert, the Girl Scouts will show “50 Years of Scouting,” and the Campfire Girls will present “Campfire Symbolism.”

Ticket Order Blanks Ticket order blanks are available for the Coliseum and Grandstand shows to be presented during the 1962 Indiana State Fair, August 25 through September 5. These may be picked up at the Administration Building Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and on Saturday, July 28. Order blanks can also be acquired by writing to the Indiana State Fair, Indianapolis 5, Indiana. All ticket orders will be filled before over-the-counter sale of tickets begins.
