A Weighty hoM«m Stanley Weightman has been too fat for a whole lifetime. He was very tired of it. Soon, his doctor told him, ho would bo sick and tired. So you con undarotand why Stanley was delighted when he read on ad about o 909-calories formula diet A painless, permanent, perfectly safe way to lose weight Many Urn—sty lot people said they had lost pounds on the new liquid food than ever before in their lives. Stanley decided

this was for him. At first, he was very good. He ate nothing but the liquid. The first week, he lost three pounds. The second week, he lost five. By the middle of the third week, he was feeling positively slendor. He saw no reason why he shouldn’t eat a little solid food now and then. And that was the beginning of the end. Now Stanley’s back to his regular habits. He weighs more than ever before. But it may be just as well he’s off the liquid food. Because the reducing formulas may not be v/hat they’re cracked up to be. The Council on Food and Nutrition of the American Medical Association feels that the labels on all these new products should warn people to be sure to drink a normal amount of water. The Council also says many people shouldn’t try any kind of reducing without a doctor’s supervision. Especially people with heart trouble, kidney trouble and diabetes.
