Red Cross Course Begins May 19 On WFBM-TV An eight-week Red Cross standard first aid telecourse, sponsored jointly by the Indianapolis Chapter of Red Cross and WFBM-TV, will begin on Channel 6, Saturday, May 19 at 12:30 pan. with an introduction to the course. Class sessions will stress accident prevention and simple first aid techniques, as well as instruction in life-saving skills of artificial respiration, bleeding control and oral poisoning. The instructor-narrator of the course will be Mrs. Harold C. Buell, a long-time Red Cross volunteer. Other volunteers who will demonstrate practical skills are Mrs. John Earl, James Wilson of the Bell Telephone Company, and Captain Charles Commons, Indianapolis Fire Department. The second session, on May 26,

will cover what to do for an accident victim and what to look for: profuse bleeding, head injuries and stoppage of breathing. The emphasis will be on care of wounds before the doctor arrives. Evening Counseling At Indiana Central Counselors will be on duty Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and and Thursday evenings of each week to give assistance to students planning to enroll for college work this summer. The summer term is scheduled to start on June 13 with classes meeting for 8% weeks; the last meeting of the term will be August 9. Classes are scheduled so that they will meet two evenings per week during this period. Schedules of summer classes may be received by calling the Evening Division office at ST. 70342.

Richmond Blake will speak at both services of worship on Sunday, May 20. The Immanuel Choir (youth) will sing the Anthem, “Dear Lord and Father of Mankind” by Walker at the 9:00 o’clock service. The Chancel Choir (adult) will sing the Anthem, “Breathe on Me, Breath of God” by Thompson at the 10:45 o’clock service. Mrs. Geo. M. Bain and Mrs. Loren L. Gullett will sing the Offertory Duet, “More Like The Master” at the latter service. Junior MYF will meet at the church on Sunday, May 20, at 5:00 p.m., for recreation, fellowship, and Worship.
